What is feminine health?

“To be totally honest, feminine health isn’t a term I’ve come across before.”

Can you feel yourself heading toward burnout? Are your emotions becoming entangled with heavy hard thoughts which leave you feeling confused, frustrated, and drained?

A woman reached out to one of the private groups I’m part of to say she had been suffering and that she’d been working with a business coach to locate the issue.

There was no mention of supporting her feminine because as you can see from her comment above, she didn’t even know it existed.

I see and hear so often women commenting on the road to burnout, believing they have to hit it hard before making any great changes. And what’s the thing they address first in the belief it will make everything better? Their business. But without health, there is no business.

So what is feminine health?

  • Understanding which evolutionary phase of life you’re in; puberty, fertility (aka menstrual cycle), perimenopause, or menopause

  • The integration of mental, emotional, hormonal, and physical health within a cycle (whether that’s a menstrual cycle or a reference point such as the moon phases for menopause)

  • The ability to adapt to the ever-changing hormonal shifts that create your communication

  • Knowing when it’s time to utilise your natural power of creativity/drive or your natural power to rest and restore

  • Knowing how to feel in tune with your body and what it needs

  • The understanding of masculine and feminine energy

  • The confidence to express yourself clearly and intentionally

  • The realisation that you don’t have to show up like a man to be seen and heard

We do not run on a 24hr rhythm as men do. This is why we create such a great partnership; our differences create a whole where responsibilities are shared and we inspire greater energy and productivity in each other.

Are you walking into the office each day with your dominating demeanor leading the way?

Longterm you may begin to find your energy and communication begin to fall out of sync, which is a sign that time out is needed. It doesn’t mean you are failing and you should be doing more. This is counterintuitive toward longevity, productivity and joy. Because when you’re not doing what you love, there’s no joy there, is there?

The best place for you to start is by finding out what evolutionary phase you’re in; menstruation, perimenopause or menoplause (at Project Woman, we believe this phase of life needs applauding not pausing). By knowing this, you can start to implement changes in the way you work and your productivity. How to move and exercise to maintain less mental, emotional and physical pain, and give yourself the much needed rest to make all of the above happen.

It’s not difficult, and it certainly isn’t woo-woo (a term designed to keep you from finding out just how powerful your feminine health is). It takes time and commitment, which ultimately is what feminine health is.

The beauty of feminine health is you don’t have to do it alone and this is something I am exceptionally powerful at holding for you.

So if you want to take your feminine health to a point of expansion growth, high energy, and fun, I’m your woman 👊

Big love
