I want to understand. Period.
Women’s health is changing because Women are changing.
The beliefs of Woman are evolving.
I recently gave a talk at The Ministry Private Members Club, London on A Powerful Period Approach Toward Success. This talk offered a foundational starting point for any woman to begin creating a relationship with their menstrual cycle, cultivating a more female-led approach toward success.
When I asked why everyone was here, whether they were in their 20s, 30s, or 40s, these women all quoted the same desire - to understand my period.
And I realised at that moment that what I and other great women in this field had been championing for many years was starting to land.
I took this eclectic, yet unified group of women through:
The belief of woman and what it felt like to be one in 2024
The two layers of a cycle; the phases that covered biochemical and physical aspects of health and the inner seasons which support emotional growth
How to harness your skills, communication, productivity, exercise, and time out in a cyclical pattern instead of a time management approach.
How the right environment and community can support long-term female health and wellbeing.
The impact could be felt immediately, with feedback leading to more support and talks to continue this seed of development.
What I see now is women understanding that what has happened in the past does not have to create their future. This is powerful. We realise we can’t change society unless we change ourselves because we are society. When we change society changes and this will be the stepping stone toward equality, in not only female health but all health. Because when one gender is out of balance all genders are out of balance.
I also see the anger and frustration dissolving in 40 plus women as they gain greater authority in their female health. In those women carving their identity in their 20s and 30s, I see a desire to understand their health because they know it will impact their ability to show up to the world as the woman they were born to be. And for the young women heading into puberty, I see an opportunity to create an education that liberates everyone from outdated mindsets, conditioning, and lack of life.
We’re in this together, no matter what gender you are.
Big love
